A Double Glazed Stepped rooflight refers to a rooflight system that consists of two layers of glazing (glass) with a stepped or tiered design. This configuration helps in improving thermal insulation and soundproofing properties while allowing natural light into the space.

A Triple Glazed Stepped rooflight is a rooflight system with three layers of glazing, typically arranged in a stepped or tiered manner. This advanced design provides enhanced thermal efficiency, noise reduction, and can be particularly beneficial in environments where insulation and energy efficiency are priorities.

A Jack Aluminium rooflight refers to a rooflight structure made using aluminium framing known for their high-quality aluminium building components. These rooflights are durable, lightweight, and often used for their aesthetic appeal and structural integrity in modern architectural designs.

A rooflight with an integrated blind is a type of skylight that includes a built-in shading system within the glazing unit. The blind is incorporated directly into the rooflight, offering control over light levels and privacy while maintaining a sleek and modern appearance.

Clear glass is a type of glazing that provides maximum visibility and allows the most natural light to enter through the rooflight. It does not have any tint or coating, offering a completely transparent view, which is ideal for spaces where unobstructed sightlines and natural lighting are desired.

Solar Control glass is designed to reduce the amount of solar heat that passes through the rooflight, helping to keep interiors cooler and more comfortable. This type of glass often has a special coating that reflects a portion of the sun’s heat and glare, making it ideal for energy efficiency and reducing the need for air conditioning in warmer months.

Satin glass, also known as frosted or obscure glass, has a matte finish that diffuses light and provides privacy while still allowing natural light to enter. This type of glass is perfect for areas where you want to maintain privacy without sacrificing daylight, such as bathrooms or private office spaces.

Blue Active glass features a subtle blue tint that enhances visual comfort by reducing glare and improving light diffusion. This glass type not only adds a stylish touch to the rooflight but also offers benefits such as improved energy efficiency and reduced UV penetration, protecting interiors from sun damage.

Laminated glass consists of two or more layers of glass bonded together with an interlayer, typically made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The thickness, such as 6.8mm or 8.8mm, indicates the overall thickness of the glass layers including the interlayer. This type of glass offers enhanced safety and security, as it holds together even when shattered, reducing the risk of injury. It’s also effective in providing sound insulation and UV protection.

Please provide plan, section and elevation drawings or a DWG/PDF with exact opening dimensions, roof build-up, kerb details and any structural loading requirements. Indicate finish levels, upstand heights and insulation locations so we can ensure correct integration.

Yes — we supply NBS-style clauses, full technical datasheets and performance data (U-values, g-values, acoustic ratings) suitable for tender packages and coordination.

Our units are supplied with certified Ug and whole-unit U-values and we provide recommended kerb detailing and insulation continuity guidance to help minimise thermal bridging and support Part L compliance.

Lead times and tolerances are confirmed at quotation stage; as a guide allow several weeks for bespoke manufacture. Final dimensional tolerances and approval drawings will be issued prior to manufacture to aid installer coordination.

All bespoke rooflights include a 20-year manufacturing guarantee. We supply maintenance guidance covering cleaning, seal inspection and recommended service intervals.
